Got the 44c Mutano Raptors yesterday. They look crazy. Can't wait to hit some good trails. Been raining like crazy so I had to settle for Pease Park and some crushed stone out to 183. Through the East Side on the way home.
Cool tires and the fatties fit fine, but the bike was definately not built with these in mind. Bit of a toe overlap, but its only an issue with slow turns with the peddles turning.

looks bitchin' man, i knew you'd be stoked on those 44c's. as for toe-overlap, there is none on mine but then i'm riding a 60cm.

C-rad, you are also on a monkey, aren't you? I assume they address that issue with the bigger tyre since that's what they expect people to use. the toe overlap is very minor and at speed, you really shouldn't be "turning" your wheel to turn.
the tires are sexy. unfortunately all road miles so far. dam rain. wettest year so far in Austin since '41.
trying to keep up with some buddies using those tires on a hilly road ride when they were on geared road bikes was a challenge.
