Towards the end of the ride Hector and I decided to stop off at this park for a little break. Showed me this cool tree carving.
From here headed over to Ozone to check out some bikes. Its a cool place, but definately not as cool as MWC on a Saturday if you know what I mean. Speaking of MWC, check out that nice jersey.

Not too many sweet truck parking spots in Austin. Gotta head outta town a bit and you can find them anywhere. Mostly you find the Texas special, a nice clean four door truck, no dents or scratches, and a big beefy grill guard to fend off all those annoying compact cars.
so len, are you saying "Guadaloop" like all the folks down there, or do you bust out the correct pronunciation? and what about "manor" drive up north of campus, is it "manor" like a stately old house, or "maynor" sorta like maynerd g. crebs? this is the stuff that i'm really curious about ... the nuts and bolts of your assimilation to texas.
i gotta post some pics of my new fixey. you'll like it.

daverill, they do talk kinda funny down here. My favorite is Manchaca, which is pronounced Manchak. Kinda makes me nostalgic for Nebraska with names like Bee-atrice.
and i always said "man check" ... no wonder everyone laughed at me all the time.

That's how they say it down here. I still can't figure out how you get man check from manchaca. other than that, finally getting assimilated to the weather. 95 with a breeze is getting real comfortable. still not really able to handle the 95 with no breeze. guess you always got a breeze on a bike though. I've only been on 4 real rides the last month. been out of town for work at least two days every week for the past 4.
hopefully, ride tomorrow. going to try and mix some road and downtown dirt sections on the cross fixxie.
