360 to Spicewood Springs

Yep, it was a good week for riding. I'm at 220 miles for the week. Its been a while since I've put over a hundred in during a week. Commuting helped. We'll see how it lasts, Tara's back home tonight from 2 weeks of traveling. Pretty stoked to see her. All but 25 of those miles were fixed.

The downhills on 360 are fucking scary on a fixed gear. My legs felt like they were going to explode.

That's a lot of commuting miles. How far is your commute?

16 miles each way. pretty much why i didn't commute when i was without the cross bike. i'm too lazy to switch my cog a few times a week and 34x18 is way too low for the commute, but the cross bike is sweet.

i recently brought a hose to the office cause there's no shower. without a handicap i'd get hosed in the CBC. that road bike of yours is pimp.

only 90 of my miles were commuting. and probably like 5 riding pulling a trailer to the farmers market and then over to some friends for dinner.

doesnt that spicewood springs road run next to a creek for a few miles.

i seem to remember a blue heron flying around there. it would fly in the air above us as we rode through. pretty consistent too. mmm.

you bet. the lower half of the road runs along Bull Creek or it might be a branch of Bull Creek and there's a bunch of low water crossings. Spicewood is also part of the famous Nelo's Loop.

its a really fun loop. some great hills and you can get a sweet workout if you have less than 2 hours.
